Nelson
RFP Proposal
Adobe InDesign
Project Overview
The Product:
Develop a comprehensive RFP proposal strategy for NELSON Worldwide titled "Unlocking Value in Every Space." The submission showcased the firm's national interior practices, Workplace, Asset Strategy & Repositioning, Hospitality, and Retail, as a unified design solution tailored to transform underperforming properties into high-yield commercial assets.
The Problem:
The client issued an RFP seeking an interior architecture firm that could move beyond baseline aesthetics to solve real asset-performance challenges. They required a partner capable of reversing vacancy trends, designing for post-pandemic workplace retention, and executing specialized interior interventions without risking budget overruns or project delays.
The Goal:
Deliver a winning RFP response and presentation deck that directly addressed the selection committee’s evaluation criteria. The proposal needed to clearly communicate NELSON’s technical qualifications, showcase its experience with 40%+ of the Fortune 500, and introduce key design leadership to prove we could execute complex, multi-sector interior projects on schedule.
My Role:

Execution:
The final RFP package delivered an executive-ready, highly structured proposal that set our bid apart from competing firms. Complex firm credentials, practice breakdowns, and project team structures were converted into scannable graphic layouts. By integrating targeted data metrics, detailed lead designer CVs, and project case studies, the proposal clearly linked creative design strategies to measurable business ROI for the committee.

Review RFP requirements and draft aligned proposal content emphasizing firm differentiators and technical capabilities.
Design and layout the full RFP document and pitch deck using structured grids, callout metrics, and custom typography.
Feature key personnel profiles, industry thought leadership, and career milestones to establish team authority.
Coordinate with regional design leaders, practice heads, and business development leads to gather technical data and maintain proposal compliance.
Produce final digital and print pitch materials for presentation to the selection committee.
